Unlike most charter businesses we are not locked into one location. The boat is stored on a trailer and our 2018 Tundra allows us to follow the fish in style! If the weather is not ideal in one location we can usually find a productive sheltered area to get you out fishing. Depending on the season and what your target fish species we could be launching at one of many locations in MA & RI. Our fishing season starts off in Buzzards Bay towards the end of May. We start the season off togging and soon after the stripers, blues, scup and sea bass fishing explodes.
If you are looking for a trophy striped bass of a lifetime then Block Island in June - July is the spot. We drift eels on light spinning gear at first light for the monsters that live in the deep tight to the bottom. This area is also know for trophy fluke sea bass and gator blues! After catching your share of bass we often toss topwater plugs along the islands coastline. The topwater action can be epic and it is not uncommon for everyone on the boat to have agent rod with a crazy yellowed eye monster bluefish!
July and Aug are also a great time to fish Cape Cod Bay or off of Chatham to vertical jig up bass and blues. We will often drift eels in the Cape Cod Bay or live line mackerel for trophy bass. The outer Cape Cod waters also lands you in prime tuna country! Tuna charters are a ton of fun and we fish a method referred to as RUN & GUN. This is when we actively seek out feeding tuna by chasing busting fish on the surface or vertical jigging them up through the water column. The tuna are by far the strongest fish we have here in the North East and they will challenge your fishing skills and my gear! We do mix in some bottom fishing for fluke, scup, sea bass and tautog through out the summer.
How about setting up a chum slick and doing battle with a 10 foot shark on light tackle? We have a great shark fishery and we have had great success landing makos and blue dog sharks on the same rods we use for striped bass! Shark charters run from July - Sept. No heavy rods and reels so hold on as you will be in for a battle!
We end our season sometime at the end of Nov chasing TOGZILLA in Buzzards Bay. The Fall tog fishing can be some of the best bottom fishing of the season. When the water temptress start to drop in Oct the tautog start to move into deeper water and start to school up. These fish are not shy about eating and fishing with jigs and crabs will help you fill the freezer with delicious fish filets to get you through the winter.
We love our time on the water! Come join us!
If you are looking to catch a striper of a lifetime then book a trip to Block Island!
